Rain! Rain and photography often dont mix! Our lesson plan was panning, shooting cars on the road in the rain is not a recipe for success! As most would do, we make the best of it! Today we introduced Adobe Lightroom 5 to the students who braved the rain and made it! Below are some of the results of using Lightroom 5! Fun times ahead and see you all in Photo 2 next semester!

Elk Grove Basic Photography - Panning
Panning a camera results in a motion similar to that of someone shaking
their head from side to side or of an aircraft performing a rotation. When photographing a moving subject, the panning technique is achieved
by keeping the subject in the same position of the frame for the
duration of the exposure.

Photo 2 - Architecture - Elk Grove
I love to give my students real life tasks! This week I gave the Photo 2 students a real life "job" situation! They were "hired" by the landlord of our complex to photograph the complex for future use for leasing & marketing purposes! The students were give artistic freedom to shot the complex as they would in their own business! HDR? Sure! Black & White? Sure? The students were to choose the various forms to make the client "happy!"...here are the results!
